WSP and ATR submitted. What happens next?

For many organisations, submitting their Workplace Skills Plan and Annual Training Report feels like the final milestone in the compliance process. Once the documents are approved, there is often a sense that the requirement has been fulfilled and the value secured.

But is the work really done?

The reality is that submission is only the starting point. While WSP and ATR approval ensures compliance, it does not automatically unlock funding, tax benefits or maximum Skills Development impact. This is often the stage where organisations unintentionally lose value.

The twelve months following submission are critical. This period determines whether your organisation simply remains compliant or strategically extracts measurable return from its Skills Development investment.

Mandatory and Discretionary Grants require deliberate planning and follow-through. Implementation, tracking and governance is crucial. None of the outcomes happen automatically once a plan is submitted.

A well-structured implementation plan ensures that training programmes are aligned to funding opportunities, workforce needs and compliance requirements. It connects planning to execution and turns approved documentation into tangible business value.

At Skills College, assist with the alignment of your Skills Development training requirements and targets. We work with you to achieve your targets on your approved plans or assist you with the rollout of your funded programmes. Our focus is not only compliance, but sustainable impact.
