B-BBEE Skills Spend Strategy
The Skills Development Expenditure (SDE) element is a priority element on the B-BBEE scorecard. This means that a company has to aim for at least 40% on the SDE element, otherwise they drop a level on the overall scorecard.
Revised B-BBEE Scorecard
The revised B-BBEE Scorecard gazetted on 31 May and implemented in Dec 2019 enables companies to earn the maximum Skills Development points if they spend the required 3% (QSE Scorecard) or 6% (Generic Scorecard) of their annual payroll on training.
